What is a sewing lounge?

The Sassy SEWer is Baltimore’s first and only sewing lounge. The Sassy SEWer is one of several sewing lounges to sprout up across the country. A sewing lounge is a place where sewers meet to share and learn about sewing. At the Sassy SEWer you can try sewing without purchasing expensive equipment. The Sassy SEWer is proud to offer comprehensive beginner to advanced sewing classes for kids and adults.

Why come to the Sassy SEWer?

If you've ever considered sewing, want to improve your existing sewing skills, or just want to have sewing fun.  Visit the Sassy SEWer.  It is much more fun to sew with others. It’s also a great way to learn, share resources and pick up tips and tricks from seasoned sewers.

What kind of classes do you have?

We offer Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design classes and You Can Make It comprehensive sewing classes for teens and adults.  Classes range from beginner to advanced sewing.  We also offer tailoring, fashion illustration, draping and project specific classes, just to name a few.  See our class schedule for the current offerings.
